Pat and I both took the morning/afternoon off on Harrison's Birthday! Gary & Salli were here to celebrate too! Harrison woke up to balloons in the rec room to entertain him for a while and then we made plans to drive down to Point Defiance Zoo!....but then we got there and it was closing. Very disappointed but we made the best of it and went to the beach instead. We walked around Point Defiance Park, had some ice cream and headed back home for a birthday dinner.
We got back home and Laura joined us with some birthday gifts. Harrison opened his gift from us.. A DUMP TRUCK. He was very excited. I think it was the best $13 we ever spent. It was a great day. I hope to continue the tradition taking the day off and spending every birthday with him. Harrison's birthday stats are: 75% in height, 40% in height, and 90% in head circumference. He loves any kind of machines, trucks, combines, boats, tractors, etc. He loves puzzles and trying to "fix" anything. We just started potting training , he's a great eater, and this energy level is pretty much non-stop. We love him dearly and he has brought us so much joy. We are excited to have him become a big brother, yet sad we are losing the "only child" love of our life. So excited to see what this next year holds.
