We decided to take a weekend getaway to the ocean. We rented a cottage in Seabrook, WA. http://www.seabrookcottagerentals.com/ This is a brand new community just north of Ocean Shores. After searching forever for a place to stay on the Washington coast, we finally decided on this place (there really isn't much on the WA coast). Once you get past the very Stepford Wives neighbor, it actually is pretty cool. There is hiking trails, indoor pool/spa, shops, bars, markets, & a dog park! It is a very family area and a great place to stay. We will definitely be going back. This is the place we stayed, it's only about 450 sq ft, so it was pretty tight with 2 dogs and us. It has a loft be we didn't use it.
On Friday night, we walked down to the beach, about a 10 minute walk from our cottage.

The dogs were very happy at the beach. We had to stop Porter from eating a dead seagull, and not going in the water, but they were pretty warn out that day.
I waited for a long time to try to get this photo with no people in it, but people kept walking down the path, still pretty. The houses in this photo you can also rent, but they are a lot bigger and a lot more $$$.

Love the sand on the Washington Coast, its incredibly soft and doesn't hurt to walk on the beach.
